Kim W. Hoover, PhD, RN currently serves as President and CEO for the Mississippi Hospital Association (MHA) Health, Research, and Educational Foundation, and holds appointments as Senior Nurse Fellow, Mississippi State University and Professor Emeritus, University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).

During her time at MHA, Kim served as Chief Operating Officer for over six years and has been actively engaged in funding and developing the statewide healthcare information exchange, IntelliTrue. In her role as President and CEO of the MHA Foundation, she oversees millions of dollars in grant funding.

Prior to joining the MHA, Kim was dean and professor at the School of Nursing at UMMC in Jackson, Mississippi. She began her nursing career as a hospital staff nurse and manager before moving into nursing education. Kim was instrumental in building the Mississippi Office of Nursing Workforce and has served as a workforce supply and demand consultant at the state, regional and national levels.

She is an alumnus of the Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellows program.
